    Track stars from Southwestern Indiana closed the season with a bang at the IHSAA Girls Track & Field State Finals 🏅🔥. North’s De’Janay Layne dazzled with 2 top-5 finishes, placing 5th in the 100m and a razor-thin 2nd (by 0.01 seconds!) in the 200m – nearly defending her title 🏃‍♀️💨. Pole vaulters Elsie Krodel (Castle) and Katherine Woebkenberg (Jasper) soared into the top 7! 💪🏽⏱ More local athletes stepped up big against Indiana’s elite – flying, jumping, and sprinting to leave their mark this season 🚀🙌.
